Lawrence Schill, Attorney-at-Law
Lawrence C. Schill has practiced law in the western panhandle of Florida for over 30 years. From 1993 to 2011, he was a business and real estate attorney both in private practice and as in-house counsel for a real estate development and restaurant holding company.
In 2012, he started a new chapter in his career pursuing criminal justice. With an eye on eventually becoming an effective criminal defense attorney, he began 2012 as a prosecutor with the State of Florida Office of the State Attorney, where he gained valuable insight into how criminal cases are investigated, prepared, and tried in court. That foundation gave him a unique perspective into the strategies and decision-making process of the State prosecution — experience that now allows him to provide his clients with a well-rounded and strategic approach to representation.
In 2018, he left the State Attorney’s office to pursue a career in criminal justice. Today, Lawrence focuses his practice on criminal defense and injunctions for protection matters, representing both petitioners and respondents. His ability to draw on experience from both sides of the courtroom — first as a prosecutor and now as a defense attorney — enables him to anticipate needs, identify potential challenges, and pursue the best possible outcomes in every case. Whether defending against criminal charges or navigating sensitive injunction matters, Lawrence lends his unique experience, compassion, and determination to his clients’ cases.
Raised in Pensacola, Lawrence has roots that run deep in the local area. He helped raise his 3 children here and maintains a strong connection to all of the great things that make Northwest Florida unique. When he isn’t working on behalf of his clients, he enjoys listening to music from the Americana genre — Jason Isbell is among his favorites — and attending concerts in epic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
